Tips to Improve and Increase Traffic and Followers
Here are twenty valuable tips to get your hubs moving in the right direction.
1.FOLLOW - Follow and support your followers. Plain and simple.
2. FAN MAIL - Leave Fan Mail. Hubbers can be a sentimental bunch – leave fan mail and let the hubber know why you are following. You will likely get followed back if you leave warm fan mail.
3. COMMENT - If someone took the time to comment on your hub it would be nice for you to comment on one of his or hers as well. Not always an easy task, but one you can build on during down time. Note – I like to pick one of my followers’ older hubs. It helps bring it to the forefront again. Also, did you know that when you comment on your own hub it brings it back to the front feed page? This way you are acknowledging and thanking your followers while also bringing it back to the news feed.
4. SOCIALIZE - Take part in the camaraderie of HubPages. I tend to stay out of the HP Forums – I’m not quite brave enough. I socialize on Twitter and Facebook. There are also several forums out in the WWW. Just google your favorite topic and include the word forum. I'm sure you will find a forum that suits your niche.
5. TWEET - Join Twitter and find fellow hubbers. Everyone likes a retweet. It’s a great way to support each other. I’ve caught some awesome hubs through Twitter that I would have never caught on my HP news feed. If you spot a tweet from a fellow hubber click retweet - let's support each other. This is a great way to gain followers and supporters for yourself and fellow hubbers.
6. FACEBOOK - Join Facebook and create a page with your pen name – many have their own Pages to promote their work. Many hubbers have groups where you can share your hubs. This is a great way to circulate your hubs on Facebook.
7. BLOG - Create a Blog for organizing and promoting your hubs. Some hubbers have blogs for each of their respective topics. These are great for backlinks and gaining new followers.
8. REFERRAL TRACKERS - Create referral trackers for ALL of your links. This is the ONLY way to earn credit if someone signs up as a hubber. If they joined HP through one of your referral trackers then you get a percentage of their HP revenue.
9. SHARE - If you really like a hub you have read SHARE IT! Your followers might find it interesting as well. By the way - be considerate when sharing your own work on the news feed. I've seen hubbers share over 5 hubs at a time (daily) - this only makes me want to un-follow. If you keep up with your comments you won't have a need to share often. However, it is a wise idea to share something that has been buried away with no views after a week or so. By then you have new followers that might find the hub interesting - if not then it is time to reflect on it and figure out what you need to do to revise it.
10. EDIT – I don’t care how good you are. Mistakes happen. I have read my hubs multiple times and I am still shocked to find grammatical errors weeks after they have been published.
11. FORMAT – I LOVE formatting my hubs. Make sure to add effective sub-titles and images. You want to guide your reader through your hub. Learn how to make your own headers. Play with the photo and text capsules. Yes, your content is the most important, but dress it up a bit.
12. PHOTOS – Take the time to dress your text. Look for photos, which will support your theme. Nice looking hubs are promoted. Who doesn't like eye candy? Just keep it relevant. Check out the HP Learning Center to make sure you are not committing any photo violations. For example, obvious watermarks such as the @ in front of the image WILL BE FLAGGED. Don't even try it. Regardless, it cheapens the quality of your hubs.
13. LINK – Link your hubs. As you build your portfolio of hubs you will begin to see a pattern of favorite topics. At the end of your hub you can add a list of similar hubs for your readers to choose from. You can also help promote a fellow hubber. Many will return the favor. Use these links in your e-mails, external forums and social networks. This helps feed and fuel your content on Google!
14. RESEARCH – Once you've decided on a topic take the time to research the competition. Try a keyword search on HubPages and see what has been written on the same topic. This can help you fine-tune your angle. It is also a great way to include links of fellow hubbers in your hub. Follow and support hubbers in your topic area. Many are willing to support each other and link to each others' hubs.
15. HTML – ok, I’m not going to make you learn an entire course in HTML, but the greatest tip is one by Sinea Pies, Her hub teaches you to set up your links to open in another window. Why is this important? You gain a longer impression, which means money. The viewer does not lose sight of your page. They are simply viewing the link you supplied in another window. When they close that window YOUR hub will still be there. This gives them an opportunity to leave your hub open while they click your links, encourages them to possibly leave a comment, vote and/or bookmark your hub.
16. ANALYZE - Ok, I admit it - I AM a hub stalker. Not in the evil sense of course. About once a day I click the "HUBBER" links at the very top of the HubPages toolbar. This will take you to the crème de la crème page. This page lists hubbers in the order of Hubber Score. I want to know WHO these people are and HOW they got there. I check EVERYTHING. I click their latest hub, which is linked next to their pic and I check the actual URL title. Why? SEO!!! These pros KNOW their SEO and many of them only use keywords for their URL title and then change the title when they edit and create their capsules. Then I play detective. I read the first paragraph to see how they incorporated the url-title and keywords into the text. I also check the words that they tagged and what they linked to. Then, I analyze text length, quality and purpose of content, plus I review the Amazon and Ebay capsules. I also look for any strategies in how the hub is formatted. If I make it to their profile and they listed their Twitter account I follow it and watch their tweet habits. The best lessons are by observing the masters.
17. YAHOO! – Do you yahoo? You should! Yahoo! Answers can help drive traffic your related hubs. Build a profile on Yahoo and start answering questions. Find the questions related to your topics and hubs. You can include your links and it will greatly help generate more traffic.
18. TITLES & KEYWORDS – I am by no means an SEO expert. I’ll give you a few links later, but be sure to include your keywords and title within the first ¼ of your hub. This will help keep your hub in the search engines.
19. INDEX – After you have published a hub you need to copy the URL link and then go to Google and paste the link into the search box – click search. This step helps throw your link into the search system. If your hub and link pop up on the search list you have been indexed. If your hub does not pop up right away try again in about 24 hrs. It should show up after the search engines update. Make sure you do this with your profile as well. I’ve heard others say they repeat this process on Bing and Yahoo engines - couldn’t hurt.
20. LEARN the KEYWORD GOOGLE TOOL – Many hubbers do not even know this exists, but it is a valuable tool. Google would not have even taken the time to create it for FREE if they didn’t find its mutual value.

Thanks for the information on how to build better and more interesting hubs. Like the most your advice on becoming a stalker, sounds too simple but never thought of it. I'll have to do some research.
I've started a couple of blogs, i wonder do you write separate articles or just summaries and link to hubpages...Not sure there.
Great hub! and thanks for the info!
Miss Olive - you are just the best! I love your information and again, appreciate the help. I was glued to this hub and intend to follow every bit of advice! Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing your views and information on this particular topic.I believe all those who are participating and writing hubs and doing activity on daily bases, must read this hub and follow these steps.I am also expecting from you the same. Thanks and keep writing :) vote up
Thanks, It would be nice to leave some fan mail for others to read, Also when leaving a hub comment, it would be great to look at the hubber's page and comment at one of the hubs.
I did not think about face book connection, but hopefully I will try to do that very soon.
Another great article Missolive :) Very useful, informative and well written. I've read may how to get traffic hubs and I must say you've provided some fresh insights that I've yet to see on other hubs.
Great info for a newbie like me! Thanks for the tips!
This is an amazing hub. There are several things in here that I try to do on a regular basis, but you definately caught my attention on a couple of these. For instance, HTML... I didn't know there was a way to get the link to open in another window. I am going to have to see if I can figure this out. Also, Indexing-- I am going to go check that out now cause I am curious! This was great!
missolive, once again an amazing hub with a wealth of information all in one place. Your willingness to share all of your knowledge is heartening. I am learning lately just how much of a real community hubpages can be. Great advice, voted up. Keep up the good work!
Splendid hub very informative. I love how you give straight to the point advice thus saving the time of people like me who is in a hurry. Thank you.
A great hub with lots of very useful information. But more than that, the information is easy to follow and you give good reasons why we should follow your suggestions.
This is one of the best hubs I've read on helping hubbers to increase traffic! Voted up + awesome!!
As always, Missolive, you've hit the mark! This is one of your best tutorials so far. Do I Yahoo? No...but I think I will. You've really seen notable increase in your traffic? If so, it's worth it.
Thanks for the link to my hub on keeping readers. I appreciate it. Notice the dividers on my "Get Followers--Tips for Bloggers" hub? You inspired that! I went on Word and made my own with the Comment Luv heart.
I aggree to everything in here missolive. You have just laid a very crucial reminder to all of us. Thanks. Great work! 1 vote up, useful and awesome.=)
What a terrific list of tips on improving hub traffic. I like how some of your tips pertain to getting traffic from fellow hubbers, but also the good seo tips for getting search engine traffic later. Hubbers can often give a hub a nice boost in the beginning, but for the long-haul SEO really matters.
I really appreciate your inclusion of links to two of my hubs: "SEO Techniques..." and "Drive Traffic to your HubPages..."
I noticed after publishing these two hubs and a third one on how to get hits by using keywords in 5 often-overlooked places, that many readers of these hubs actually used my advice. I am sure you will notice a great response from your list of 20 tips, as well.
~voting up, useful, and interesting~
missolive . . .simply AMAZING! This hub covered it all. HOW to write, present better hubs. Get traffic. Every new hubster needs to read THIS hub. A textbook of a hub. Voted up and away. Thanks for sharing your talent. Sincerely, Kenneth Avery, from a rural town,Hamilton, in northwest Alabama, that resembles Mayberry, the iconic town on the Andy Griffith Show. You are invited to check out my hubs that are mostly my takes on life and things...I would like that. Have a peaceful day!
(exactly)11:26 a.m./cst, Nov. 15
missolive . . .THANK YOU SO MUCH for your comment. And Ive been here in Hamilton, Alabama. That Mayberry-look-alike. I am blessed to have YOU in my world and I voted you up and away because YOUR HUB was that good. Sincerely, KENNETH
Wow, Miss Olive, you are a treasure for the beginners :) It is so kind of you to put your efforts into sharing this information with the others. I love your style, so clean and to the point. Perfect! Thank you and thank you for sharing my hub, I'm grateful!
This is such great information. Still being new to HubPages, this Hub is a real eye-opener. It's a bit overwhelming to figure out all of the strategies to build readership! So far I'm just trying to write good content, but I'm going to start trying to incorporate your suggestions. One question: How do you "share" a story? Thanks so much for your excellent Hubs!
Thanks so much! I'm glad I asked... I'll definitely use it now!
What a great hub with lots of outstanding tips. I would have eventually made it to your hub when I try to catch up on my reading, but i saw it going thru the feed and it piqued my interest. Some of these I was doing, and some I will be doing in the very near future. Thanks!
Thank you for the wonderful tips! I just joined the Hub this month and I am very impressed with how well you understand "the system". I will definitely put your knowledge to good use. Thanks again : )
Awesome resource for all hubbers. Thanks!!
i highly appreciate your shares which is so familiar with us but never enough to discuss.
Great info on traffic I struggle with this or would like to draw a lot more traffic, so i will try these out before i go on the corner of my busiest intersection with a reader board with my hub address. Thanks
Useful and informative, as usual Miss Olive! I haven't even considered Yahoo! - must look into that :-)
Well written and interesting, I am new to this site so I found it useful
I am new to hubbing and find your hub very informative and helpful. I am going to try your suggestions. Thank you for your help! :)
I tend to be better at theory than practice. This is good advice and I'll bookmark it for reference.I do tend often to be in the group with high hub scores but it does not mean I get all that much traffic.
Fantastic one
Another useful hub packed full of top-notch and relevant information. In fact I use both Hubs and Blogs hand-in-hand which increases traffic in both directions.
Once again, you have written a fabulous and informative article! Loved it! Voted up. :)
Good information missolive for a beginner like me. Thank-You.
Great hub with some really useful info. I don't mean to cause offence when I don't leave fanmail, I guess I'm just being very British and reserved. :-)
Hi Missolive, Defiantly thumps up as I’m a new in HP ,I didn’t had a clue for most what you have mentioned in your hub, many thx for sharing your experience as a hub stalker ,and providing those useful information
Great SEO basics and a good article thanks for it
I love this hub, great tips! will bookmark this one.
This ticked all the boxes so did I...
I featured this hub in my hub luv series that I put out on Sundays. It was a good one.
Vote up Miss Olive. You've provided a lot of information in a simple, easy to read manner. I think I'll be back to read it again a few times!!!
Very interesting observations. I am sure will help me increase traffic and hub visibilty. I really liked the point no 16- Analyse. One learns a lot from the way more experienced hubbers write.
Interesting links too. Need more time to follow them. So I'm bookmarking this hub and also adding to the favourites bar so that I have instant access to it.
Voted up and awesome.
Sharing this hub too.
Thanks for sharing,Marisa.
You've covered them all and so very well missolive! Vote er up!
You mentioned in your response to me that hub scores tend to go up when you have more external traffic. I have noticed that I have more traffic from google than I do from hubpages.
Thank you, missolive, for this fantastic hub and clearly information. Rajan Jolly sent me a message to read your hub and it is the best advice I ever received for a long time. You really great details how to achieve more traffic. I'll bookmark this and go through it again. There is so much information and clearly laid out. The problem with computers are unless you don't know which button to click that is it. You certianly gave me a lot of ideas and how to obtain them. Thank you so much and Rajan Jolly
In time I will read all the other hubs as well. You are a real great help. Can you advise which site are best to write on, please.
I am sorry to bother yiu again but could you suggest any other good platforms like HP which would bring some more pennies and also backlinks.
I tried Xomba but they sent a very contraticting message. I can't backlink to HP but to others within Xomba
I found Squiddo too complicated.
At the moment I am writing on Triond, Bukisa and Flixya. What is your opinion of them? Any other good suggestions, please.
This is a very interesting hub and once again I am impressed by all you do. I haven’t been very proactive about getting traffic, hence I have about a quarter of the followers you do, though I’ve been on HP several months longer. Some of your tips sound very easy - for instance pasting hub titles into google. So I think I’ll start with those easy ones first!
Two things I have found increased my traffic within Hubpages hugely are taking part in the weekly topic inspiration and the recent contest. I also really enjoyed the challenge as well.
Incidentally, I’m not sure how much relevance the Hubbers scores have as far as traffic goes, mine used to be between 88 and 92 and then went up to 94 when I answered a question by making a hub, and it has stayed between 94 and 98 ever since, so I think it may be partially connected to participation in things like the WTI. I gather there’s also a random element in it. I’m sure you will have more traffic than I do but your score is currently lower - and that could change by the time you read this comment! :) I’m just pointing this out because it doesn’t necessarily mean that if someone is on the first few pages they have got a better way with hubs than you do.
Thank you so much for your kindness to help me. You gave me some good leads. I certainly will check them all out because my hubs definitely need some more traffic.
I hve read a number of hubs and on the forum about the Hubscores. All these hubbers stated that nobody knows how it works and if it is actually related to your activity on your hub and/or traffic. Also the relevant to or on your earnings.
You always give me stuff to figure out--love it. Voted up and bookmarked to work my way through it--soon, right?--and to read through the comments. Thanks much!
MissOlive this is a lot of great information. Thanks Nice hub.
Missolive or should I say Sherlock Holmes lol,
Another brilliant hub, chock full of great clues and ideas.
All anyone has to do is follow them and the traffic will come.
It's like anything in life, Pay attention to the details and it all works.
I do some of these things already but I always learn more from you. Thank you. You are a great asset to hubpages and hubbers.
O I forgot to mention. Voted up, useful, funny and interesting.
Very good hub and full of useful advice for hubbers and bloggers alike. Your suggestion for Yahoo I liked, as I was not aware you could link to your hubs. SEO is important to get readers, but now the updates are taking affect, quality content is key ... along with backlinking and getting indexed.
Thanks for your advice. I didn't realize that by searching for a url, it would help to get the search engines to include it.
Missolive, wow, I'm impressed by your work!
Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge and helping us hubbers to increase traffic.
There are several things in here that I do. However, so many things I wasn't aware of.
I'm bookmarking this very helpful hub. Voted up of course!
Very useful resource miss Olive. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for this useful tips its very useful for my hub profile I want to increase traffic on my hub profile.
You forgot: Use your hub widget (on other sites) then promote that site, write the site up as an introduction to your hubs, sort of a profile page one page site (yourname.com)...
also I get massive traffic from forum posting (good posts get traffic, boring or negative posts get nada), and creating or/and asking questions- if you get a good thread going in the Q/A posts you get fans, visitors, and more...
You can write a hub about something awesome, then post a question on the topic, you can actually post a question then post your own answer to it as well (after posting it you haven't' used up your "answer this question" right-
let people get in and start talking/giving their posts, then bling in thanking everyone for their great ideas- this is the only way to leave comments after the fact and you get one shot to post your answer and thanks-
you can also mention you made a hub answering the topic and encourage others to do the same- in just mentioning you wrote a hub about the topic others may click your picture/avatar to see what you said in the hub if the thread is popular-
great traffic booster (never leave a link to or promote your hub just say that you wrote one- let curiosity sell them on wanting to read it.
I follow you but don't remember if I left you fan mail- I don't agree that if someone doesn't leave fan mail but adds you that they don't follow your stuff- I follow a lot of your stuff but don't think I left a message (never know what to say!), besides once followed your hubs are in the feed so they likely will follow your work- not commenting on all of it doesn't mean they don't read them... but to each their own (opinion)... you post alot of hubs so I don't think a follower would have a chance not to see your work in the feed :)
Kudos for your community help- you should get some product hubs up- that's where 95% of my paying hubs are- product hubs sell because they entice people (through informing them as they are likely there to research before buying something) to learn more about something they already want and the monetization is just the door they need... traffic flows to product pages more than helping hubber topics- not that you should not post them but in the beginning 3.5 years ago that's what I did but until I made more product oriented hubs (balancing my portfolio) I only got hubber traffic and made 0.00 the traffic you want for earning is off hubpages not on- although again hubbers tend to also send you some organic traffic relayed, but likely that comes from their product hubs! (or news etc... that's timeless).
Good Luck!
Hello mam how are you? that hub is really inormative and useful as usual.I am back after a long time .i was buzy in bundle of works.wellll bak now will read you and increase my knowledge. Thanks mam for providing info to the world.
missolive this hub is very informative. Appreciate all of your resourceful articles on traffic, and money making tips, and how to Bling that Hub! Voted up, and useful! You are an asset to the HP community!
Ms Olive, I gain valuable information every time I read one of your hubs. Sharing your strategies and findings are so helpful! Your analysis of what the top hubbers do when publishing a hub is one of the most interesting and valuable tips I have read.
I am truly grateful for your willingness to share. Voted up and across -- as usual!
Some good tips here, but I find the two most important to be community participation and SEO. Forum use will get some HP traffic, which while it won't earn much (hubbers don't click ads), is a source of help and satisfaction.
Good SEO use will get you the traffic that pays. Learn how to optimize your hubs for organic traffic.
And of course, write good, informative hubs. This you are doing - now join the forums and become a part of the community. Hint - stay out of the religion and political forums unless you have a VERY thick skin!
I seriously love your hubs! I am on a constant learning curve and I ALWAYS learn something new from your hubs. I really appreciate your topics. And now, I'm off to apply what I've learned on my own hubs! Thank you!! Voted up and lots of other stuff. :)
Hey,I am new in Hubpages, Even though I am in IT field and do not know much about the implementation of SEO and its techniques. But surely these tips will help me to bring traffic on my hubs.
This hub has some great tips. When I first started, I was in the learning curve and so I may have not responded as swiftly. Thank you again for a wonderful and informative hub.
You know you are really good at what you do. Your hubs are simply great especially this one which i find really informative. But i believe that generating traffic is actually a long run 'gift' for writing good hubs
Cheers
Thanks for all the tips. I bookmarked this hub in my browser so I can keep coming back to it and learn it little by little.
In your point #2 you complain about people who follow your hubs and don't leave fan mail. You are being unfair. I am one of those people. I started hubbing last month and am following a handful of hubbers whose work impresses me. When I click Follow, I just have a first impression of quality, but I don't yet have enough familiarity with the hubber's work to know if my first impression will last or to make a general comment on his or her work, much less to write fan mail. I've figured that the proper time to write fan mail is later after I have been following that hubber for awhile. But when I went to your profile page this evening, I could not find where or how to send you fan mail. Where do I find that?
Re your point #5, I tried Twitter for awhile a few years ago but nobody I know uses it, so I was communicating with nobody. Also it ate up a lot of time revising a message until it fit in the tiny space allowed. What do you do different to make it not a waste of time? I do use Facebook daily.
Re your point #6, why do most hubbers use pen names instead of their real names?
In #9, by SHARE it, do you mean click the Twitter and Facebook button?
Re #10, if someone did not proofread their writing before publishing it as a hub page, they are not likely to do so later. I've been wondering if it is best to not comment on typos, grammatical errors, misspellings, and wrong word usage but rather to send a private message, since a Comment will become irrelevant once the minor error is corrected.
Anyway, I'm going to put your many good tips into practice.
Thanks for the great tips! I'm new to HubPages, and really appreciate reading hubs such as these. I look forward to reading
more of your hubs!
This hub if freaking awesome. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I will refer it to others for sure.
Consider this Traffic Grabbed!
Thank you for the info I just started, this will help me out a lot
TOMMY
I had to come back again and comment. This hub is very useful. I use it as a constant reference. Just checked out Yahoo Answers! Can't say enough what a great tip this has been. Hub On, MissOlive. Hub On!
I just bookmarked this hub to refer to later. You really packed it full with helpful tips! Thank you so much for writing it!
Voted up!
I love reading your hubs, because you are such a creative person with great ideas. Thanks
Thank you for all the great info. I have bookmarked, voted and shared. I will reread often and tweet each time.
Fantastic advice as always missolive. I often learn new seo tricks but sometimes an overload of information makes me forget to do half of it. This hub is well set out and there are one or two points I hadn't even considered.
I will copy and paste my url's into the search engines. Thank you so much!
I think, really have a lot to learn.
Awesome, useful, interesting, voted up! I didn't know about pasting URLs into the search engine boxes. I'll try that. I'm going to read sinea's hub about html, too. I know next to nothing about that. This hub is a great reminder of the things I have learned already and the things I still need to work on. Thanks, MissOlive! Great information!
Marisa - you provide so many good tips. Thank you. These are really good tips. I posted this hub on My Favorite Hubs of the Week. Thank you.
FINALLY! The hub that am looking for! Thank you for sharing this miss olive! It means a lot. :D
The best advice i received so far in my initial Hubpages journey here. Thank u so much. Looking forward to learn more from you. Very useful hub. Vote up.
What is "SEO"?
I needed this info sooooo badly:) I bookmarked, followed and marked up thank you!
Thanks for all the great tips! There were some I was already familiar with but things like joining my fellow hubbers on Twitter and indexing my hubs and profile were excellent.
Very interesting and very informative!! Especially for new hubbers!
Rated up / useful - thanks for the tips and links!! (^_^)
Thank you so much for this information. I've been trying to learn a lot of this stuff, but found your hub the most informative yet.
Marisa, you've included alot of information in this Hub, and is a great companion on how you help the HubPages community in general every day. Thank you for your counsel and advice, many of us depend on hubs like this to succeed!
Great info!!
I really learned a lot from this hub. I have heard some of the advice before but wasn't sure what to do with it. You have a way of making things much clearer! Thanks!
Wonderful tips! Thanks
Very useful and helpful information. Thanks for sharing. Voted up for sure.
Very well written. I will use the information from "TITLES & KEYWORDS" I had no idea about including the title in the first 1/4 of my article! Voted up and useful!
Hi, I also forget to put the title in the first paragraph! and I will have to learn the HMTL, I haven't done it yet, so thanks! rated up! cheers nell
Wow! Was this ever useful. Thank you very much for sharing the links and tips. I feel like I hit the mother load.
I keep hearing about the Yahoo answers thing. I can't remember really if I've tried that or not.
So I should give it another try if not the first try.
Loved all the tips. I have made a couple of Hubs about SEO as well. This Hub of yours was really good.
Wow!! What a lot of useful information. I'm bookmarking this for future reference as well--too much good stuff for my poor old senior brain to remember all at once!
(Although my blogs are sadly neglected because I've been putting all of my energy into HP..)
Voted up across the board and shared.
Excellent hub full of practical advice. Thank you! Also, do you think choosing categories for your hubs with the most followers helps too? I have been writing a series of hubs about my "past" life of crime and imprisonment and noticed I could post them in one of two categories in the crime section. One section had about twice as many followers than the other category; so that is where I decided to post them.
As time goes on I get a little slack. I use several of your tips, but stopped using others. The one I miss the most is Tweeting. That is good habit to get back into.
It is an informative and very interesting article. I need this information. Thanks missolive for sharing with us.

Hi missolive, Thanks for great tips to increase hubpage traffic. I hope it will help me to increase some visitor on my hub.
Dear Miss Olive - WOW! You must have read my mind. I write a few hubs a month but now that I have completed a course on Dalmatian culture I have a BUNCH of hubs in me just waiting to come out. I'll be sure to try all of your tips, one by one.
I've been around HubPages for about a year. Six months ago I made the jump from part time writer to full time freelancer and never looked back. Fantastic!. Now, I've gotten to a new place where I can hardly wait to just write my own stuff full time. With concentrated efforts, I'm sure this will come. HubPages is a great way to improve writing skills, while simultaneously earning money. As another Hubber pointed out, if you aren't getting about 4000 views a day you won't be making much money.
Thanks to hubs like this, I am seeing that it's all possible, and that there is a method (HTML and SEO) to the madness. Having followers is more important than I originally thought. Thanks for your very valuable and helpful Hub - great job. Voted up and across.
This is one of the greatest Hubs I have ever come across. It helped me a lot. Thanks A Ton MissOlive !! :)
Great ideas, thanks for sharing.
Great hub. Thanks!
Great hub! I would've liked a little more info though but the ideas are solid and I will be using them!
Fantastic tips. Supporting other hubbers is such a great idea. Even I usually retweet other people's hubs whom I like. Its the best way to reward others apart from commenting on them.
Nothing wrong with a little shameless self-promotion! Well done on the hub, btw!
Nice Hub Miss Olive! the tips are right on the money! Why I didn't see this one? Voted up!
LORD
BOOKMARKED!! I do many of these things - I love Google Adwords! I need to create a YAHOO profile and go to YAHOO answers. Thanks for sharing this great information! I also need to study your "Bling My Hub." I see how nice it makes hubs look and the traffic on those hubs are high!
Votes and shared! :-)

You caught my attention with all the great details in this hub, voted awesome.
MissOlive - I am enjoying reading your amazing hubs and glad to be able to bookmark them as I go along. I may need to call on your for help mow and then.
Dear Miss Olive! Yes, "dear!". I tried the URL tip for about ten of my Hubs so far, entering them into the Google search engine. In only 24 hours my traffic has quadrupled. OK, I've also written two or three new hubs in the past two days, but I think this definitely helped. After I URL all my 70 hubs I will go on to the next tip. Wishing you well, and happy hubbing from ECAL (Anastasia)
Well written, informative, useful. Thanks for writing such a great Hub. Voted up and shared.
Great Idea. These tips will surely be beneficial to any hubber. :) Thanks for this pot of gold. Thanks for sharing.
Lots of great advice, most of which I already do...and a few that I can start to do....I think time is also something that helps....in my case hubs I wrote over a year ago still bring some traffic and the older hubs drive my views to almost 1000 views a day now. Voted up and interesting.
Useful tips, thanks for sharing.
I'm bookmarking for further use! Great tips and advice!! Voted up!
Great tips! I will definitely use them. Thanks for the great advice. I voted up!!!
I'm glad I stumble on this hub. Great tips--I've learned quite a few things which I should implement. I'm quite passive when it comes to the tools of the trade. Very well-written, engaging and enlightening. Bookmark it for future reference and many thanks.
Love this, MissOlive. Very helpful. Shared this and added it to my hub: http://pdxkaraokeguy.hubpages.com/_3gvrkbouobv74/h
Thanks for the info!
I didn’t know I had to index my hubs!!!! Fortunately they all appeared at the top of the search list when I googled their URLs. Thanks for the heads-up. I will definitely check the HTML tutorial, that is also something new and useful for me to learn.
Excellent hub with lots of good information. Voted up and shared!
Voted and shared! Lucky for me i just left my hubs and boom some of them have page ranks now :)
So maybe this makes me sound kind of dumb...but the longer a viewer is on your page, the more you earn? I had no idea! Thanks. Voted up and useful.
Thank you missolive. My head is swimming with all these new things to learn. I have been stalling getting my writing facebook account, just recently joined the Hubpages facebook page. SO much to learn, but SO worth it. The little bit I have tried does work, so thank you thank you, more for me to try and learn to do!
Excellent tips that I will work on in the near future. Yahoo is one thing that I have been using from the start and I agree it can be quite helpful. This is very useful.
OK Missolive. Help me understand the nugget about sharing your link in an email benefiting recognition on Google. You using a link as part of the signature? (I have my profile listed that way on my personal emails.) Or is this something different. This is the third or fourth time I have studied this great hub and each time I learn something new! (BTW, I'm sharing it!)
This is very helpful missolive. A Hub to keep and learn from, for sure. Thanks for sharing your knowledge to increase traffic. So much to learn!
Very Good missolive, and useful. One to keep.

Thanks a lot!
I recently compile hubs on driving traffic to your site "How to Get Traffic to Your Site - Directory of Top Articles on Getting Website Visitors, on HubPages" and had your article listed in the directory. You can view it here http://greatstuff.hubpages.com/_gsgnup/hub/How-to-
Wow! Never saw so many comments! That means your information is vital to us. I had a folder in bookmarks stuffed with your Hubs. Glad I saved them! I will save this one, of course. I am not fully taking advantage of all the things you mentioned, but I will make more of an effort. I voted this UP, etc.
What a truly engaging and helpful hub! :) Ever since joining HP, I was busy thinking up creative content for my hubs. However, now I'm reading all hubs pertaining to tips to improve my hubtivity. And voila! This was a veritable mine of information. :)
Thank you!
What a perfect hub for a beginner like me! I was still trying to figure out how to increase traffic, but I already knew about google's analytic toolbar and keyword research. Recently, I read a hub on joining forums etc, but didn't know where, but I found it very helpful of you to suggest signing up on Yahoo! I will also check out some other forums and I will return to this hub, because you provided us with some really insightful advice. Thanks!!
Shared Useful and Voted Up!
Great article. I just started so your tips are very helpful. Is there a way I can save this so I can return to it in the future?
